Frequently Asked Questions

Has Open House replaced your Grad Scheme / Work Placement Scheme?

M&C Saatchi Open House has replaced many of our entry level programmes and, since it began in 2020, has been a focus for several recruitment opportunities including apprenticeships, internships, placements and entry level roles across departments and companies within M&C Saatchi Group.

I am registered but can’t find my login details?

You can login at https://openhouse.mcsaatchi.london/latest/ using your username (the email address you used to register with) and your password (the one you generated in your registration form).

What is the minimum age for registration?

Participants must be aged 16 or over to register.  There is no upper age limit.

I’ve forgotten the password I generated in my registration form?

You can reset it here https://openhouse.mcsaatchi.london/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

I have registered for Open House but cannot login to access the webinars?

It may be that you didn’t activate your account.  You received an email upon registration instructing you to do this. Check your spam for the email and get in touch at openhouse@mcsaatchi.com if you can’t find it and we can activate your account manually.

I have missed the deadline to register, can I still take part in Open House?

Each year we have an overwhelming response to Open House with well over 1000 participants registered, more than we are able to facilitate on Zoom.  Anyone who has missed the deadline can contact us at openhouse@mcsaatchi.com to register their interest for future events.  We may also make some of the content available after the programme for educational purposes.

I will be at work/school/college/picking up the kids at 6pm on a Wednesday, can I still take part?

Yes, the sessions will be recorded and the content will be made available to all participants who registered for Open House.

I am not eligible to work in the UK, can I still take part?

Yes, you can still take part in the 8-week training programme but we will only be able to consider your application for a potential role if you are eligible to work in the country you are apply in.

I am in a different time zone, can I still take part?

Yes, we understand the timings of the programme will not suit everyone around the globe so will make the course content available for participants to catch up on demand if they cannot zoom in live.

I am not based in the UK, can I still take part?

Yes, just select the country you are joining from and if it’s the UK or the US then please select the region/state as this will be helpful for us to see where our outreach is working.

Will there be coursework?

Yes, throughout the programme there will be opportunities to apply what you are learning in optional coursework tasks.  You can choose to do as much or as little as you wish. Certification of the programme does not require you to do the tasks but they will help to bring the subject to life.

I will not be able to participate in the whole programme, will I still be considered for a future role at M&C Saatchi?

Participants would ideally engage in the full 8-week programme, either live or by catching up with the content each week, to get a certificate and be considered for a future role.

I am not interested in a future role with M&C Saatchi, can I still take part in the training for my own progression?

That’s fine, the course content is open to all, just select the option that best describes your participation in your registration form and if you change your mind half way through, that’s also fine.

Can I invite a friend along to one of the sessions?

The programme content will only be available to those who have registered for Open House.  We would prefer you not to share content and webinar links but by all means invite a friend to watch with you now that covid restrictions have lifted.

How do I access the webinars?

A Zoom link will go out each week via Open House MailChimp or you can login to the Open House portal to link in live on the night or catch up with the content after.

Will there be a chance to apply for a job at the end of the Open House programme?

If you are eligible to work in the UK and wish to apply for an internship, placement or job at M&C Saatchi Group, those who have completed the programme will be invited to an application process.  Successful applicants will be invited to an assessment day on.  Those who pass the assessment day will join an exclusive talent pool giving access to suitable opportunities across the M&C Saatchi Group.  Practically speaking, this means you will be fast tracked for any live roles at the time of the assessment day and when future opportunities arise the Open House talent pool will be the first place we fish from.

What roles will be available at the end of the programme?

Over the last three years of Open House we have offered apprenticeships, internships, placements and permanent roles in Account Handling, Creative, Data, Design, Media, New Business, PR and Strategy.

Do I have to know what role I am interested in applying for?

No, you can select ‘don’t know’ or be completely specific in your application but hopefully the 8-week programme will give you an idea of where your interest and skillset lies.

I already have industry experience, do I need to apply for the Open House assessment process?

The Open House assessment process will be more geared towards entry-level opportunities (that will include career shifters as well as career starters) but anyone can apply.  If you already work in the industry you can apply for open roles on our careers site at any time and mention that you have taken part in Open House in your application.

What do I need to do to apply for the programme?

If registrations are open; just register and you’re in!  There are no minimum requirements to participate.  If registrations are closed; email openhouse@mcsaatchi.com to register your interest for future Open House programmes and we will add you to our mailing list.

How much of my time will this take up?

We appreciate that you have lives, studies, jobs and caring responsibilities so we have built the programme to be as accessible as possible.  The course runs weekly for 8 weeks and comprises a 1 hour zoom session from 6-7pm (UK time) every Wednesday.  There is little preparation needed but participants are encouraged to engage in the chat, polls and ask questions in the Q&A.

If you choose to take part in the coursework tasks this will require additional time to consider your approach and how you will apply your learning.  Tasks are optional so if your schedule doesn’t allow for anything extra, that’s completely understandable and won’t stop you from finishing the course and getting a certificate.  However, if you are applying for a role with us we encourage you to take part in the coursework tasks as this could help towards your application.
